I build companies from idea to exit

Now I put that to USE.

Working alongside founders, operators, creative teams, artists, and people building things that don't exist yet.

I started Doddle & Co. in 2015 with an idea and no particular reason to believe it would work. It did. The company grew into 18 countries and onto the shelves of Nordstrom, Target, Anthropologie, Pottery Barn Kids, thousands of boutiques, and museum shops — named the JPMA's most innovative product of 2018 and recognized by Ernst & Young along the way. In 2022 the brand passed to new ownership.

Since then I've worked with founders on the decisions that don't come with a manual - raise, grow, solve, or exit. None of it is theoretical. Though I do teach it — once a semester at Rutgers Business School.

The students seem to find it useful.

This work is hard and exhilarating. I loved it then and I love it now.

PRACTICE

When you have…

an idea you can't stop thinking about / a prototype but no manufacturer / a product that's ready but no path to retail / a pitch that isn't landing / a company that's working but something feels off / a brand that feels stuck

When you are…

about to raise for the first time / trying to figure out if you're raiseable / considering an exit but don't know what that actually means / stuck between the creative vision and what the business needs / not sure if you need a consultant or a hire

When you need…

someone who has actually made the thing / someone to sit with you for eight hours and build the list / someone who speaks both languages — the creative and the commercial

I am here to work beside you.
